The Soldier’s Tale
Next Thursday, the 23rd of February we are performing at Lappeenranta hall Stravinsky’s ‘Soldier’s Tale’. Kai Lehtinen will join as an actor the septet of our orchestra, and my violin has a special role in the story too. The other number in the concert will be Stravinsky’s Danses Concertantes. The concert starts at 7 p.m. Welcome!
New year 2017

I’m just starting a two-month-long substitution as the first concertmaster of our orchestra. Interesting, challenging program is ahead.
Our duo solo performance (that I was too busy to mention in the end of last autumn) with Matti Koponen of Sarasate’s Navarra will have continuation in March with music of Schnittke.
The String duo Kleio made a mini-tournee in November at Turku, Helsinki and Lappeenranta. The new program is under preparation and concerts coming at Tallinn for example.
Also baroque concertos will be heard near the summer.

Divertimento KV 563 of Mozart in Helsinki
The 3rd of October 2016 I’m going to perform with violist Markus Sarantola and cellist Jussi Seppänen the Divertimento KV 563 of Mozart. The performance is part of the series of lecture concerts about music and philosophy organized by Sibelius Academy. Olli Koistinen is speaking about Immanuel Kant. Sibelius!
8th – 11th September 2016 is organized the 17th Sibelius festival of Lahti Symphony Orchestra. Dima Slobodeniouk is conducting and also I’m playing with in the three orchestra concerts. Welcome to listen the symphonic music of Sibelius!

Concerto Grosso by Corelli in Mikkeli
I have the pleasure of joining St. Michel Strings this week. In three concerts during 25th and 26th August I will also play with the concert master Jyrki Lasonpalo the solo parts of Corelli’s Concerto Grosso Op. 6 No. 5.
Baroque concertos at Hauho church
The 6th of June I’m performing with Hämeenlinna city orchestra four baroque concertos: Vivaldi, Leclair and Tartini. The Concerto for two violins by Vivaldi we play together with Markku Jokinen. The concert is conducted by Lauri Haapanen, and it starts at 19:00 at the church of Hauho. Welcome!
Duo concerts in Spain
At the moment our Duo Kleio is performing in northern part of Spain. Today 5th of May in Bilbao and tomorrow 6th of May in Gijón. More information at our webpage. If you are around, you are most welcome!
Concert with a student orchestra
I have been invited to play the Violin concerto in G-Major by Vivaldi with the student orchestra of Lappeenranta Musiikkiopisto. In the same concert there is going to be two (other) young artists making their debut as soloists of an orchestra – so I’m in a good company! The orchestra, conducted by Riitta Lind, will perform also their own repertoire. The concert starts on Monday the 25th of April at 18:30 at Helkiö hall of the Musiikkiopisto. Welcome!
The concertmaster position
I’m happy to announce here, that after an audition 15th of April, I was chosen as the second concertmaster of Lappeenranta city orchestra. I thank all the colleagues for the support!
String duo Kleio
